Friday, November 6 – Mary Beth Woll – Helping Women in Crisis
Mary Beth has been a therapist with Meier Clinics for ten years. Prior to becoming a therapist, she and her husband served together as Music Pastors. This unique combination of clinical therapy and church ministry helps Mary Beth bridge the gap to bring hope and healing to women in crisis. Her co-author Paul Meier MD is the founder of the internationally renowned chain of non-profit Christian Counseling Clinics that have ministered to millions since 1976. Dr. Meier is the author of over 90 books that have sold over seven million copies in over thirty languages and he has traveled throughout the world teaching the guidelines described in GROWING STRONGER.
GROWING STRONGER flows from the hearts of a Christian Therapist and a Christian Psychiatrist to pour out compassionate perspectives and healing guidelines for women going through a crisis of any type.
I used to believe that isolation was a good thing; it took a team of highly skilled therapists at the Meier Clinic and a loving community of believers to convince me that connection with other safe, mature Christians promotes healing. I’m grateful that Mary Beth Woll and Dr. Paul Meier have written so clearly and powerfully! This book has reinforced key principles that encourage me to connect with Jesus to receive life, connect with others to pursue freedom, and pass on what I’ve learned to impact others. — Meier Clinic client.

- The Parable of the Lily, which helps children understand the power of grace and forgiveness and the true meaning of Easter
- The Sunflower Parable, which helps children discover the value of planting seeds, not only in the ground but also in the hearts of those around us
With simplicity and creative storytelling, this is sure to be a family favorite.
Also a gifted professional speaker, Liz has presented more than 1,700 inspirational programs for audiences in all fifty United States and fourteen foreign countries. When the National Speakers Association honored her with the Council of Peers Award for Excellence, Liz became one of only 35 women in the world named to their CPAE-Speaker Hall of Fame.
On the personal side, Liz is married to Bill Higgs, Ph.D., who serves as Director of Operations for her speaking and writing office. Liz and Bill enjoy their old Kentucky home, a nineteenth-century farmhouse in Louisville, and are the proud (and relieved) parents of two college grads.
“I have three abiding passions: encouraging my sisters in Christ, exploring the stories of women in the Bible, and writing novels set in Scotland of old. When I’m not traveling, speaking, or spinning a story, I connect with readers online, take copious photos, read historical novels, watch period films, and immerse myself in research–the more books, the merrier. I’m a lame housekeeper, a marginal cook, and a mediocre gardener, but home is still my favorite place to land.”
Friday, November 20 – Rachel Hauck and Her Latest Novel, The Wedding Chapel
Rachel Hauck is a former corporate grinder who realized she preferred facing the blank pages of her next novel rather than getting a regular paycheck.
A USA Today bestselling author, she’s an Ohio State grad and avid football fan. She considers herself a second-rate arm chair quarterback. She loves sandwiches and chips, Diet Coke (decaf please) and believes Matthew’s final proposal to Mary in Downton Abbey Series 2 is the most romantic scene on television.
She lives in central Florida with her husband and their pets; a mini schnauzer, Miss Indpendent, and Hepzibah, a stray cat who wandered into their backyard.
She’s hit a few best seller lists, is a RITA Finalist, Christy Award Finalist, a Carol Award Winner, and a Maggie Award of Excellence recipient.
Hauck penned the critically acclaimed Songbird Novels with multi-platinum country artist Sara Evans. Even though she can sing, Rachel has never performed a duet with Miss Evans.
Her book, The Wedding Dress, (no, not the Hallmark movie) was named Romantic Times Inspirational Novel of the Year.
She is the past President of American Christian Fiction Writers and now serves on the Executive Board. She was once named ACFW Mentor of the Year.
And so we conclude all accolades and braggadocio. But what’s a girl to do? If she’s asking you to invest in her books, you best know a bit about her.
Visit her web site at http://www.rachelhauck.com to sign up for her newsletter, read her blog, and to follow her on Facebook and Twitter.
P.S. Rachel has never jumped out of an airplane. (In case you were wondering.)
A lonely wedding chapel built as a tribute to lost love just might hold the long-awaited secret to hope and reconciliation.
For sixty years, the wedding chapel has stood silent and empty. Retired football hall-of-famer Jimmy “Coach” Westbrook built the chapel by hand, stone by stone, for his beautiful and beloved Collette Greer, whom he lost so many years ago. The chapel is a sanctuary for his memories, a monument to true love, and a testament to his survival of the deepest pain and loss.
Photographer Taylor Branson left her hometown of Heart’s Bend, Tennessee to make a new life for herself in New York. Taylor had lots to run away from, not least of all a family history of broken promises and broken dreams. Love catches Taylor off guard when she falls for Jack Forester, a successful advertising executive, and their whirlwind romance leads to an elopement – and then to second guesses. Jack, in spite of his very real love for Taylor, is battling his own demons and struggles to show her his true self and the depths of his love for her.
When Taylor takes a photography assignment in Heart’s Bend, she is thrown back into her own past and encounters family secrets buried deep beneath the sands of time. And when Taylor and Coach’s journeys collide, they each rediscover the heartbeat of their own dreams as they learn that the love they long to hold is well worth waiting for.
Friday, November 27 – Elisa Morgan will help you see yourself as God does…
Are you believing the great lie that God does not, maybe even could not, love you? The real you?
Women struggle under the ongoing weight of “not-enough-ness.” Not attractive enough. Not smart enough. Not fit enough. Not creative enough. Not good enough. Not sexy enough. Not strong enough. Not whole enough. Not womanly enough. And therefore, not beautiful. We are broken and ashamed to be so.
In our eyes, brokenness makes us unlovable and unusable. But in his Word, God is clear that he sees us the way we already are in Christ: deeply loved and abundantly influential. Yet we hang back, believing instead the toxic not-enough labels.
Hello, Beauty Full explodes the shame-based mythology of our “not-enough-ness.” Instead of believing the hiss of the enemy, women are encouraged to see their beauty the way God does. Chapters include:
- Voice Lessons: Beauty in Your Unique Personality
- Valuable Vessels: Beauty in Your Physical Body
- A Womb of Your Own: Beauty in Your Creative Purpose
- Scar Stories: Beauty in Your Painful Story
- Have Your Sway: Beauty in Your Influential Legacy
Challenged to not settle for emptiness when Jesus came to give life to the full, women will find the freedom they need to accept their identities when they not only hear but embrace God’s heavenly message: “Hello, Beauty Full!”
